Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
The babies were at the crib, and I was strapped with an infant to my back. Ha! The home was starting to look good, but there were still many things left. For this project I was ready to invest a significant amount of money and time searching for the perfect home. To keep within the budget, I started going with my boys to estate sales in search of diamonds. Each week we would spend Thursday to Saturday at estate sales and garage sales purchasing old and brand new furniture. Then I painted and sanded the driveway throughout the week. The look was a little like this... This is where my obsession with in the process of restoring old furniture got started. I continued to restore furniture long after we completed the renovation of our home. At the local market I set up a little space, and also sold items. In the end, I accumulated more items that I knew what to do with and outgrew the area. There were open houses in my home which saw over 1 000 guests would come through in the span of a weekend. They could purchase anything they wanted on the first floor. Growing Days is the result of this. My company was flourishing, but my family was also expanding. It was essential to find the right balance for me. I wanted to balance being a mother and also a successful business owner. Growing Days was the obvious option. My daughter Nora was our fourth baby. This was an excellent direction for my business, however, I needed an escape. I took some time away from vintage furniture to spend the time I needed with my kids. It was the right time. In the course of a few months, the phone began to start to. Numerous people reached me seeking advice about home improvement or decorating. Many of the people calling me were people who had attended one of my furniture open houses. I started taking on some clients one at a time taking my time however it wasn't for long to have multiple accounts and was running a complete home renovation business. When I first heard about my business in home renovation I laughed. It's hilarious to look back on it.
